Attends Open House For Grand Opening Of New Library Facility
l-r Assemblyman Andrew Raia, Susanne Lercher, President, Board of Trustees, Elwood Public Library, Legislator Steve Stern, Randall Koster, Financial Officer, Elwood Public Library, Cheryl Gabrielli, Secretary, Board of Trustees, Elwood Public Library HUNTINGTON, NY –Suffolk County Legislator Steve Stern (D-Huntington) 16th LD, awarded a Proclamation to the Elwood Public Library at an open house to celebrate the grand opening of the library’s new home. The Elwood Public Library was formed in 2002 and after five years of operation, had outgrown the tiny facility in which it was housed. The library’s new home at 1929 Jericho Turnpike, will allow the dedicated staff to provide additional services to the Elwood community. “I am pleased to be here today to welcome the Elwood Public Library to its new home,” Legislator Stern said. “I congratulate and thank the Board of Trustees, staff, volunteers, the librarians and the entire community for their hard work and dedication in providing a first class facility for Elwood.” |
