LEGISLATOR STEVE STERN SECURES FUNDING FOR BAY SHORE ROAD RECONSTRUCTION

Federal funding to aid infrastructure improvements

HUNTINGTON, NY –The Suffolk County Legislature has adopted a resolution co-sponsored by Legislator Steve Stern (D-Huntington, 16^th L.D.) that will appropriate more than $17 million for reconstruction of Bay Shore Road.  $14 million will come from the Federal government to improve capacity, safety, drainage and mobility at key intersections.  “The reconstruction of Bay Shore Road will help relieve congestion and improve traffic safety for the Deer Park and North Babylon communities” Legislator Stern said. “The project will also create jobs and help our economy during this difficult time.”
