HUNTINGTON, NY –Suffolk County Legislator Steve Stern (D-Huntington) 16^th LD awarded Intel scholars with Proclamations at a recent Half Hollow Hills Board of Education meeting.  High School West students Matthew Klein and Kavya Desai were named semi-finalists in the prestigious competition.  “The Intel competition is one of the most rigorous and well respected academic programs in the nation,” Legislator Stern said.  “I congratulate these fine students, Research Director Michael Lake, members of the faculty and the district on this remarkable achievement.  I am certain that these fine students will have great success in college and in their careers.”
