LEGISLATOR STEVE STERN RECOGNIZES HALF HOLLOW HILLS
HIGH SCHOOL WEST TRAILBLAZER YEARBOOK

Wins Numerous Awards for Excellence

HUNTINGTON, NY. - Suffolk County Legislator Steve Stern (D-Huntington) 16^th L.D. recently recognized  the staff of the Half Hollow Hills High School West “Trailblazer” yearbook, winner of the Empire State Scholastic Press Association Gold, All New York Award; the National Scholastic Press Association First Class Mark of Distinction for Photography Award and the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Silver Medalist Certificate for 2008.  Legislator Stern recognized their achievement at a recent school board meeting.

"I am proud to honor the student staff and faculty advisors of the ‘Trailblazer” for this extraordinary accomplishment,” Legislator Stern said.   “These students have demonstrated outstanding commitment to their craft, creating one of the best high school yearbooks nationally, and preserving the precious memories of high school for all of the students of Half Hollow Hills High School West.
