from left) HUNTINGTON, NY –Suffolk County Legislators Steve Stern (D-Huntington) 16th LD and William J. Lindsay (D-Holbrook) 8th LD, honored Christopher Suarez and Nicholas Gambini, ninth graders from Sachem North High School, as well as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Paramedics of the Holbrook Fire Department, with Proclamations at the Department’s monthly meeting. Christopher Suarez and Nicholas Gambini observed a man in great distress on the driveway at his home and immediately contacted emergency medical personnel to render life saving assistance. It was their quick action in calling 911 as well as the medical expertise of the Holbrook Fire Department that helped save the life of their neighbor. “It is my privilege to recognize Christopher Suarez, Nicholas Gambini and the EMT and Paramedics that saved this man’s life. These young men have clearly demonstrated great maturity and sound judgment through their calm and timely action in summoning emergency personnel and have earned the gratitude of the entire Holbrook community,” Legislator Stern said. |
