Meet the Leaders
Legislator Kevin J. McCaffrey
June 6, 2014
It is an honor and a privilege to serve the people of the 14th legislative district, as their Suffolk County Legislator. I am thrilled to bring my 24 years of government experience to County Government. My goals as a legislator are bringing fiscal responsibility back the Suffolk County by working to balance the budget and reduce the deficit, working to protect and improve our county’s great parks, and making sure the south shore recovers 100% from all the damage caused by Superstorm Sandy.
Please take a moment to sign up for e-mail updates, so I can keep you informed about what I am doing to help the residents of the 14th Legislative District. If you have any questions or concerns that I can be of assistance with, please do not hesitate to call my district office at 631-854-1100, my staff and I consider it an honor to work on your behalf.

Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey (R-Lindenhurst) recently had the opportunity to visit the Barrier Beach Civic Association (formerly called the Oak Beach Civic Association) at their annual picnic. “I am working very hard to get FiOS here as soon as possible,” said McCaffrey. “Services such as FiOS are no longer considered luxuries, as many people rely on the technology for their livelihoods or keeping in touch with family. While some alternatives to FiOS do exist, they still don’t compare in terms of capabilities and cost.”

Legislator Kevin McCaffrey (R-Lindenhurst) recently had the opportunity to visit the Babylon Rotary Club as a guest speaker. McCaffrey spoke about a variety of topics related to Suffolk County in general, and more specifically to the Babylon Village area. McCaffrey explained how Suffolk County’s fiscal crisis is affecting the residents and the measures that are being taken to stem the reckless borrowing and spending. Related to the Village, he mentioned that efforts are currently underway to bring Verizon FiOS to the community, as it remains one of the very few areas in Suffolk County without the service.
