The 11th Suffolk County Legislative District (L.D.) is located on the western south shore of  Suffolk County encompassing the south shores communities of the Town of Islip, including Fire Island. The district includes portions of Bay Shore, Brentwood, and Fire Island, and all of Brightwaters and West Islip. The district is bound roughly by the Great South Bay to our south, Route 231 to our west, and the Long Island Expressway to our north. The 11th L.D. consists of (59) election districts (E.D.’s) with approximately 80,000 residents and 42,647 registered voters.
