Dear residents of Suffolk County’s 9th Legislative District,

As your newly elected Suffolk County Legislator, it is with great honor that I represent the 9th Legislative District of Brentwood, Central Islip and North Bay Shore. I am humbled by the overwhelming support I received throughout this endeavor for County Legislator. In the past several months, I have had the pleasure of meeting many people who share my vision in improving this great district. This collaborative vision will bring LD9 to even greater heights.

As your legislator, I will take great pride in effectuating change in the areas of:

  • Youth Related Services
  • Economic Development
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Senior and Veteran Services,
  • Building better partnerships with non-government organizations.

During my legislative term, I will work with the community to improve the quality of life of all residents within Suffolk County. The door to my office will always be open to you. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 631-853-3700. My staff and I will be pleased to assist you. I look forward to serving you.

Monica R. Martinez
Suffolk County Legislator
9th Legislative District

Almost Home

As your Legislator for the 9th District of Suffolk County and in collaboration with local non-profit organizations who selflessly serve our communities, I ask that we join in solidarity to help our less fortunate neighbors during these harsh winter months. For the third consecutive year, these community organizations have joined forces with local churches to create the "ALMOST HOME..." in from the cold program. This year they have extended the weekly program to four nights a week and are seeking volunteers to assist during the overnight shifts.
