-- Sponsored a Charter Law to promote honest budgeting and efficient operation of government, by filling or abolishing vacant positions.
-- Sponsored a resolution expanding the incentive program promoting the closure of residential underground fuel tanks to include aboveground fuel tanks.
-- Sponsored a Charter Law to provide for fair and equitable distribution of public safety sales and compensating use tax to towns and villages outside the police district.

Legislator Ed Romaine honored Troop 414’s newest Eagle Scouts Brandon Marschhauser and Xavier Roura on Saturday. The rank of Eagle Scout is the highest award in Scouting, earned by less than 4% of Scouts nationwide.

Legislator Ed Romaine was recently honored by Affiliated Brookhaven Civic Organizations (ABCO) as their 2011 Government Person of the Year.
