1. To assemble data relating to the sewage collection, conveyance, treatment and disposal problems of the County of Suffolk.
2. To assemble data relating to the water resources available to the county both within and without, as the same may bear upon sewage disposal.
3. To cause maps and plans to be prepared for the establishment of certain areas of the county, particularly in the western five towns of the county, as County Sewer Districts.
4. To report its findings on a quarterly basis to the Suffolk County Legislature by filing a copy of said report with each member of the County Legislature at said time.
5. To carry out such other functions, powers and duties as the Suffolk County Legislature and the laws of the State of New York may from time to time delegate to it.
6. To adopt and from time to time amend its own rules and regulations of its procedure as it may deem necessary and appropriate.
7. To appoint an engineer or a firm of engineers for the purpose of preparing any applications that may be made on behalf of Suffolk County; an engineer or firm of engineers, as general consulting engineers to the Agency on a consulting fee basis; a general counsel to the Agency, at the annual fee to be approved by the Suffolk County Legislature; a bond counsel to the Agency on a consulting fee basis; a public information advisor on a consulting fee basis; and such staff as may from time to time be needed and incur such other expenses as may be necessary.
