Welcome to the official website of the Suffolk County Legislature.

This site contains a wealth of information on everything from pending legislation and new laws to dates and agendas for committee and general meetings.

Here you will find an overview of the Suffolk County Legislature, which provides information about the 18-member elected body along with a glossary of terms to assist you in understanding how county government works.

The site also includes a profile of each legislator and a map of the district he or she represents, as well as contact information for district offices where constituents are welcome to discuss issues of interest or concern.

Documents, including the most recently adopted budget, are available for viewing, and thanks to the efforts of our Open Data Committee, public records are now being digitized and are accessible through a portal on this site.

You can also participate in real time by viewing a live video stream of all of the Legislature’s General Meetings, which are held in Riverhead and Hauppauge.

As we continue to update our website and add new and exciting features, we encourage you to visit us. In addition, you are welcome to contact any of your legislators directly at the numbers listed for their district offices, which are accessible by clicking the “Offices” link on the main page of the website. We look forward to serving you in 2017!
